ABOUT OUR CLUB

The MOMS Club of Branchburg, NJ is a chapter of International MOMS Club, a non-profit non-denominational organization for at-home mothers and their children. The boundaries of our chapter include all of Branchburg Township, NJ. The MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support) was founded in 1983 by Mary, an at-home mother who felt isolated in her community. From that single chapter, there are now over 2,000 chapters and 100,000 members around the world! The Bridgewater chapter was founded in 1996. By 2001, the chapter had grown so large that we split into Bridgewater West and Bridgewater East. In March 2009, the Branchburg chapter sistered off from the Bridgewater West chapter.

We offer age-specific playgroups, monthly meetings, newsletters, children’s and moms’ activities, field trips and MOMS Nights Out. All of our meetings and almost all activities take place during the day, when at-home mothers need the most support. Activities take place at public venues (such as a local park or restaurant) and others are hosted by members in their homes (such as recipe exchanges and play dates). Children are welcome at all of our events! Our only non-child event is our monthly MOMS Night Out. Don’t be a stay-at-home mom who just stays home! Come and make new friends for both yourself and your children!!

What area do you cover?
Moms and kids are welcome from Branchburg and Neshanic Station, NJ. If you don't live within these boundaries, please visit the International MOMS Club website at www.momsclub.org to find a chapter near you. 

Am I allowed to bring my child(ren) to ALL the activities?

YES! Your child(ren) are welcome at all activities, playgroups, meetings, etc. This group is for you as much as it is for them!  While children are welcome at all MOMS Club® functions, we encourage mothers to allow fathers or other caregivers the opportunity to bond with the children one night a month while they attend MOMS Night Out. Moms will usually meet for dinner, a movie, a pottery class etc.

How do I join?

How do I find out information about joining a playgroup?
Once you become a member, if a slot is available in an existing playgroup with the appropriate age level, then you can become a part of that particular playgroup. If however there is not existing one, we can form another one. Someone is always looking to join a playgroup! 

I would like to come to a meeting and check it out to see if right for me?
Sure! You may attend one business meeting and one of our public events to see if the MOMS Club meets your expectations. If it does....great, then you can choose to join! 

How much is it to join?
Our membership fee is $25 a year. This covers our operating cost, the cost of renting the hall, copies, postage, etc.

Do I have to attend every activity?
That's the beauty of the MOMS Club®, although we would love for every member to attend everything, we know as mothers sometimes that is not realistic. After joining the MOMS Club you can choose to do all the events in one week; or maybe you can only make 2 events in a month. It's totally up to you!
